A: Live fish are shipped via UPS Next Day Air to the lower 48 states.

Q: What days do you ship?

A: We ship Monday through Wednesday to ensure arrival by Friday at the latest.

Q: What temperature should I keep my fish?

A: We keep ours at 75°F unless a specific species requires otherwise.

Q: How long have you been shipping fish?

A: We’ve been shipping nationwide for over a year.

Q: What’s your Dead on Arrival (DOA) policy?

A: If a fish arrives DOA, email a picture of the fish in the sealed bag within 2 hours of first delivery attempt. We do not refund shipping. If you want a replacement fish, you’ll cover shipping costs; otherwise, we offer a refund or store credit for the fish’s value.

Q: What happens if my shipment is delayed?

A: If a delay occurs, contact us right away. Fish are packed to handle short delays, and we’ll work with you on a fair resolution. Note that replacement fish still require shipping costs.

Q: How do I acclimate my new fish?

A: Float the sealed bag in your tank for 20 minutes to match the temperature. Then, over a bucket or net, cut the bag, catching the fish in the net. Do not add bag water to your tank. Gently place the fish into the tank and discard the bag water.

Q: What should I feed my fish?

A:Feed once per day with a quality, reputable fish food. If your fish has specific needs, reach out to us for recommendations.

Q: Can you get specific fish for me?

A: Yes! If you want a specific freshwater fish, email us its name (and a picture if you’d like). We’ll get back to you with availability, timing, and pricing.

Q: What if I need to cancel my order?

A: If you need to cancel, contact us as soon as possible. If the fish have not been shipped, we can cancel and refund. Once the fish are shipped, cancellation is no longer possible.
